Grillo Superior Apartments - Enjoy Your Life!

This apartment is fantastic, possibly newly built as everything looks brand new, comfy beds, well equipped and worked perfectly for us cooking for ourselves as we are vegan, there are a few little supermarkets nearby for essentials. We didn’t eat out but I believe there are one or two near the apartment (the owners would be helpful with this I’m sure) You can sea the sea and Stromboli in the distance from the apartment terrace and we were lucky enough to have the front apartment. The nearest beach ‘Tono’ is nice light sand and clear blue sea - it’s a bit of a walk from the apartment but it is possible in about 30 mins (coming back is a very steep walk uphill in places though so may not be good for everyone) can be a bit stony getting into the sea in places so sea shoes are a bonus, nice to snorkel. There are a few beach bars along the beach if you want to eat/drink but no shops so it’s nice and peaceful. There are many guys walking the beach selling the usual bracelets etc. The apartment owners are so kind and helpful, nothing is too much trouble and they often helped us with our queries including arranging bicycle rental from the next town. We speak no Italian and the owners don’t speak English but they didn’t let this be an issue at all, we managed with online translating. We can’t rate this apartment and it’s owners highly enough!!!

This is a small quiet village so don’t expect to find taxi’s, a car would work much better but we chose to walk everywhere. You can get a train into the village (Ricadi train station) and it’s possible to walk (uphill) to the apartment in about 15 minutes on the main road- if you choose to walk then look out for what looks like a boat workshop and the apartment is in the turning opposite, we arrived at night and so missed the turning at first. The only downside to this apartment in the future is that a tree that looks newly planted will eventually block out some of the sunset sea view and would be such a shame.

I like everything! The host is amazing, facilities are incredible.. you also have an amazing jacuzzi to relax.. one of the best places I have ever been!

The location is good, not far away from Tropea. And drive 10 minutes will arrive spiaggia del tono, super nice beach. Also the couple of owner is super nice. Anything you need, you just ask for, then they will arrange. Really really nice couple. Inside of apartment is very clean, very new, very organised as well. For us, traveling with a dog, it's more than enough. Our dog also likes this apartment 😊

Just need to keep one mop for cleaning the kitchen 🤣 because we cook 😁😁
