ElGringo Clisura Dunarii

We had a lovely room with view over the river, luckily we were there on a warm day so could sit out in the evening, have a drink, and eat some food from the restaurant. We had been hoping to have a swim in the pool, but being mid October it was no longer functioning.

It would have been nice to have a kettle in the room

The view it's excellent and the apartment was comfortable.

We rented the "penthouse" unit, a fantastic, free-standing cottage with beautiful views of the Danube River! We had a pizza dinner out on the dock at sunset, it was a beautiful evening. The room was spotlessly clean, modern, comfortable, and quiet.

The public areas offer nice amenities, a pool, lounge beds with canopies, etc. but would benefit from some attention to maintenance and tidiness in some areas.

The location is great, just near the Danube. This will give you the chance to admire beautiful sunsets. It has a swimming pool which makes the difference for the kids. The place deserves more appreciation and the city would benefit from having more and more tourists. It's also worth mentioning that you may reach Cheile Nerei in 1h30 from this location. Have fun!

The food could have been better (in terms of quality) but by taking into account the prices I would say it's OK.

If you're looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway with beautiful river views, then "El Gringo Clisura Dunarii" is definitely worth considering. The rooms are big and spacious, which makes for a comfortable stay, and they are kept very clean, with quality bedsheets and towels, all ensuring a pleasant and hygienic experience. But the highlight of the place is the stunning Danube view, especially during sunset. The view is simply breathtaking. The perfect spot for those who love photography or just want a place where to reterat, unwind and enjoy the peacefulness of the nature. We will be back for sure

I'm an early riser who enjoys her first coffee in the quiet, so coffee/tea cups and a water boiler in the room would have been perfect
