ANDROMEDA

It is spacious and clean. In fact it was cleaned every 3 days. All amenities served us really well. It is in the quiet area, close to the beaches, restaurants and grocery stores. The manager lady that greeted us and gave us the keys was really nice and helpful. From the balcony you can even see the sunset and it is really nice to sit there in the evening in the evening. Bus station is nearby and connects to Pothia or to the beaches on the north-west. There is enough parking space. Location is good for those that want to explore the island but to not be in the crowded Pothia or Massouri.

WiFi was weak and often unstable. Bed mattress is really soft, while our preference is more on the hard side. But everyone is different. Air-conditioning is drying air like crazy even though it is set on cool, not on dry. Other comments here were right about the small shower glass in the bathroom - larger people end up flooding the bathroom but the floor towel helps :D

It was beautifully interior designed and the bed was very comfortable and pillows were great. Bathrobes and slippers provided. Also the towels for the beach. We are out but you could prepare simple meals if you preferred. There was a spacious balcony too. Everything was spotlessly clean. The shower gel smelt delicious. Great pressure in the shower too. Location was peaceful and 50 metres from the beach.

We couldn’t work out the tv but probably our own incompetence! You have to be a little careful with the very small step down into the shower, just pay attention but not a big issue

We had a perfect stay for 2 weeks in the house a little bit set back from the street (see the photos), with superb views over the village, gardens and the sea. We stayed in the 2 upstairs rooms, which can be connected by a door inside. So the 2 rooms become a big flat! Rooms get cleaned every third day or on request. Bigger trash bins are outside. The balcony door and the windows have mosquito nets. Every room has a washing machine and a kitchen, including a sandwich grill, microwave, 2 hotplates, fridge with freezer compartment and a coffee machine. All that as well as dishes and cutlery were in very good condition. Bathrooms are very modern, hot water is always available and toilettes are good but might be a little low for taller persons. Beds are big, long and very comfy, not too hard. There are thin blankets and thick blankets, 2 pillows per person. The room can be made dark by the shutters, to keep the sun out. Air condition works well. Balconies are great - there is a big table, shade, Wall-mounted dryer and 4 chairs with cushion per balcony. Stuff and owner were very friendly and answered questions immediately or helped out with a good solution. The beach (Kantouni) is a gem and only 50 meters away. Very nice sand, good for families, tamarisk spending shade till around 3 pm and not crowded at all (most visitors are day tourists). There are only very few sun lounger rentals – best bring your own beach towels, straw mat and enjoy the shade of the tamarisk trees. There are often waves and sometimes some seaweed,, but the water is clear and at the beachfront quite shallow, it suits children or non-swimmer needs. Although there are no steep edges the sand is just slightly sloping into the sea. At about 15 meters into the sea, depth is 1.80 meters - perfect for every swimmer. There are nice taverns and Cafes located all around Kantouni – all in walking distance. We would make 2 recommendations Psiris Taverna and Zan Café. We totally recommend Andromeda!

The location of Andromeda is not correctly displayed in the maps of booking.com. In maps.me it is displayed correctly. You might think you end up directly at the beach. But actually you are located a little bit away - maybe 50 m. Please, check Photos or maps.me for actual location. This is absolutley no downside! The location is great!

Excellent location ,well designed room , great hospitality

A beautiful and clean apartment that had everything we needed. Our host was very accommodating and nothing was too much for her, we were even able to move into an upper apartment with a sea view for no extra cost! I would highly recommended staying at Andromeda, it was exceptional value for money with no faults.
