Schloss Kobershain

It's a proper castle tower with real wood fireplace, I loved it!!!

Perfection! We arrived fairly late, but the owner was still around, and generously helped us unpack the car. The place was great, a huge sitting room, a good kitchen, a spotless bathroom, and a nice bedroom, albeit that the bed should maybe have been a bit wider with separate duvets. After having disappeared for a few minutes, the owner returned with some delicious scones, as we had earlier in the passing mentioned that the day was special for us, and was kind enough to take some pictures with us, the scones, and the bubbly stuff we had brought ourselves.

As usual, beds are never like those at home. Could be wider.

Fantastic place! A 2-bedroom apartment in a building that forms a part of a little schloss (castle). Lots of space, importantly super-thick walls which meant that in the July heatwave the inside was cool and our sleep was comfortable. The place has tons of character and history, but not as much as would stand in the way of comfort, and is very nicely renovated. Super-nice, communicative, enthusiastic owner - Jan, I wish you all the best with the rest of the castle :). Nearby town, Torgau, is one of those hidden gems that Germans don't brag about while they should - beautiful and very much worth visiting. I'm really looking forward to coming back, and I can't recommend this place highly enough!

Everything was great. If I stayed longer, say a week, then some forced ventilation in the bathroom would be a plus.
