Theo Star Beach Hotel

Es war wunderschön!

Dame bei der Rezeption war bissi unmotiviert und das Abendessen hat uns nicht so gut geschmeckt wie in den Restaurant, aber sonst war alles toll!

Our apartment was located at the front of the complex, giving us a lovely view. It was peaceful, and we were able to park our hire car conveniently close, in the hotel car park. The hotel is right beside the beach, with free sunbeds available, which was a fantastic bonus. The breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of options to suit all tastes and nationalities. The hot food was topped up regularly, so there was never much of a wait. Drinks and snacks were reasonably priced (for a hotel), and the pool bar service was a great touch. There are a couple of supermarkets at the end of the lane which have a great selection of fresh drinks, bread and fruit, etc. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops within easy walking distance, and the main “strip” is only a few minutes away if you want a party atmosphere and late night(s)!! We absolutely loved this hotel, would highly recommend it, and are already looking forward to returning. There was a mix-up with our booking (on my part), but it was handled quickly and professionally, which we really appreciated.

The cleaning service was average - a soaking wet, dirty mop was swished round the floor, and we had to ask for fresh towels a couple of times. This was a very minor thing and def wouldn't deter us from going back but it could be improved.

Das Hotel ist direkt am Strand, die Lage ist top. Man ist schnell am Malia Strip (bekommt von diesem aber an Lautstärke oder getummel nichts mit) und die Altstadt ist auch nur 10-15 min Laufweg entfernt. Das Personal, vor allem im Restaurant, war äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend, aber auch die Frau an der Reception war nett. Frühstück war sehr lecker. Nach 10 Tagen vielleicht etwas eintönig, aber trotzdem gut. Das Zimmer war im großen und ganzen Sauber.

Wir hatten 2 Flecken auf dem Bettbezug, diese waren aber am Fußende, also verkraftbar. Es hat im Hotel Wlan, welches auch einigermaßen gut funktioniert, aber oft doch sehr langsam war

Die letzte Etappe unserer Kretareise führte uns nach Malia. Trotzdem, dass dieser Ort "berühmt-berüchtigt" für seine Touristenmassen ist, kann man im Theo Star einen schönen, relativ ruhigen Familienurlaub verbringen. Anfang Juni war noch sehr viel Platz an Strand und am sauberen Pool. Die Zimmer waren sauber und ausreichend groß. Die Anlage ist aufgrund der Strandnähe und der Übersichtlichkeit auch gut für Familien mit kleineren Kindern geeignet. Kostenloser Parkplatz direkt am Hotel. Insgesamt empfanden wir das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis als sehr gut.

Das Frühstück war okay, hätte aber etwas mehr "Liebe zum Detail" und Abwechslung vertragen. Das WLAN war leider sehr instabil und langsam (selbst im Poolbereich und Gemeinschaftsbereich).
