La vue, l’accès direct à la plage, l’accueil

C’est le revers de l’emplacement : il faut absolument une voiture. Le restaurant accolé offrait des plats très limités pour déjeuner ou dîner.

In Apt 2 little privacy and if you draw curtains (night curtains) there is no light from outside. Taverna next door (does not belong to Ilias Mare) a bit strange with German Shepard on a chain.

Obiekt położony tuż przy małej urokliwej plaży. Plaża ogólnodostępna, ale bez tłumów, wieczorem byliśmy tam sami. Parasole płatne, ale goście obiektu mogą korzystać z parasoli i leżaków dostępnych przy recepcji. Bardzo czysto, pokoje sprzątane codziennie, ręczniki wymieniane co dwa dni.Trochę drogo, ale warto!

Emplacement à l’écart de la ville donc au calme. La proximité immédiate de la mer est un atout après les longues balades aux alentours…..une bonne baignade et tout va mieux. Les propriétaires sont d’une gentillesse incroyable. Nous avons étés très bien accueillis. La chambre au rez de chaussée était superbe et spacieuse.

Beautiful room (no.4) - good size, stylishly decorated, great views, nice little terrace, lovely bathroom. Ilingas Mare is a short drive from Chora Sfakion and has its own beach which is also open to the public. The place is a hotel and does not provide kitchen facilities in the room (other than a good coffee machine) but there is an OK taverna right next door. You can walk the E4 to Glyka Nera and beyond from here.

Some dog barking was irritating at times. There was a bit of a smell from the drains to the bathroom sink. But these are small points. If you are prepared to spend 105 Euros per night, this a lovely place to stay as long as you have a car or are prepared to walk a fair way.
