Fishermans Resort Life

The property view and location is amazing. The boho theme is stunning, the property is clean and has a nice pool to enjoy. The staff was very welcoming and kind, they were always very attentive to our needs. The food was amazing the chef made everything fresh. Over all the property is a 10/10.

Not a dislike but a recommendation, having rugs in the side entrance by the pool. This will help not to have so much sand enter the location.

The location was perfect, not too far from everything, especially nearby popular beaches. Would recommend to rent a car to drive around the area. The staff were all friendly and helpful in everything I needed.

When compared to places in El Salvador, this hotel is fantastic. The town of La Libertad has little to be desired. This hotel sits a bit outside of the downtown area. You can walk for about 10 minutes on a terrible road full of traffic and dust to get to other restaurants, all with good food and the same menu. Fisherman's has a decent menu but were missing many dishes when we were there. The salads were good, the pizza was good but some of the dinner meals were not so nice. The breakfast, for us, was great. The views from the hotel are absolutely fantastic. There is a great beach with nice water and waves. The pool was nice. There was plenty of space to relax but the furniture was not so comfortable. Although our room had a kitchen area, there was no table to sit at. You either had to sit on the bed or a couch with a tiny coffee table. The chairs on the terrace were very uncomfortable. The check in was tedious, having to fill in a long form on your mobile phone, and took awhile. They want you to do everything on your phone through WhatsApp and, for me, I just did not want to carry my phone everywhere. The staff were very friendly.

We were given the run around several times and had to get the owner involved. Ruined the experience and was stress added to my vacation

A place I will definitely come back too. I didn’t know it was close to sunset park until I was leaving the property. I wished I explored more but I’ll be back soon

Well designed property with high potential.

Rooms were not clean, with dust, dirt, and hair. Towels and sheets were stained. Service from the front desk staff was very poor and they could not even replace the dirty towels when asked the first or second time. Only exception to the poor service was the gentleman who works the bar and helps with the bags, he was excellent.

The breakfast was dilicious, the chef is very attentive.

The location was fantastic with wonderful views of the beach. Not far from El Tunco where there is an endless opportunity for surfing, bars and restaurants.

We found the staff lackluster. When we arrived the couch that was meant for our children was filthy. We brought this to the staffs attention but we saw little improvement and instead were offered extra sheets. The room was contently full of sand and the bathroom cleaning was just meh. Stay away from the breakfast.
