Geo38 Premium Suites Genting Highlands by BYON

The location is excellent and very convenient for visiting Genting Highlands. The suite was spacious, and having two bathrooms was useful for a family stay. At first glance, the room appeared comfortable, and the overall design of the property was quite nice.

The biggest issue was the check-in process. Although check-in instructions were provided, the check-in counter is not located in the same building as the accommodation. We first arrived at Geo38, only to discover that we had to travel to a different location to complete the check-in process and then return to the property. This resulted in approximately 1.5 to 2 hours of unnecessary confusion and delays. Future travellers should carefully review the check-in instructions before arrival. If you prefer everything to be under one roof, with the reception and accommodation in the same location, this arrangement may be highly inconvenient. While the process may work for some guests, we found it unnecessarily complicated after a long journey. The kitchen facilities were also disappointing. Although a kitchen was advertised, only a limited number of plates, cups, and basic utensils were provided. We could not find many standard items such as knives, forks, or other useful kitchen accessories that are commonly available in serviced apartments and premium suites. Another issue was the blue indicator lights on many of the electrical switches throughout the room. Having so many illuminated switches created unnecessary brightness at night and made the room less comfortable for sleeping. In addition, after closer inspection the mattresses showed visible orange stains or marks, which raised concerns about cleanliness and maintenance. While the property is marketed as a premium suite, some aspects of the facilities did not meet the standards we expected from similar accommodations.

Strategic location

Cleanlines of the unit, it was not clean at all. Dining table was sticky & stained. Floor was sticky, sofa had stain. Overall cleanliness was unacceptable. Elevator service was below par. Had to wait minimum 30 mins during checkout

Friendly staff and convenient location

The toilet had a unpleasant smell,water was ponding on the floor and the sink was partially clogged.The internet cable were not properly organized which could be hazard to small children.
