Wonderful service! Iannis is the ideal host: friendly, attentive and committed. You can ask all sort of information, from culture to restaurants. Very helpful with hiring a car, laundry service, beach directions, restaurant advice, etc. Breakfast is fully supported with many offers of jam, butter, coffee, cookies, etc. The room was appropriate to our needs and in line with what we paid for, with very modern bathroom and air conditioning. Beautiful balcony with view of chora and sea. Sunset is a plus to be con templated from there.

Nothing. Rooms can be larger or smaller according to what you pay, but quality/prize relationship is always unbeatable. Common space could be more developed, but you know in advance what to expect and pay for. Great job!

Perfect hospitality, nice island-style room, with a cute balcony and castle view. Walking distance from beach , 5 mins drive from Chora.

The owner,Giannis was very helpful, he picked us up from the airport and took us back to the port on our departure. Nothing was too much trouble. He gave us lots of information. We had a fantastic time. On arrival we found a goodie basket in our room to start us off and some water, thank you so much for everything

Staying at Drougas was absolutely fantastic! Yannis was a wonderful host who really cares about his guests. We stayed 10 days and could have stayed much longer. Our room was lovely, fresh and spacious. The rooms are much more spacious than they look in the photos with plenty of room to put your belongings, suitcase etc. The bathroom had been updated in our room with a proper shower cubicle, no shower curtain, yeah. The bed was super comfortable as we had been sleeping on some very hard beds in our 2 months of travel. Our outside terrace was also very spacious and we spent a lot of time there. The kitchen space was big enough to prepare breakfasts and lunches. We loved the location of Drougas. It is in a very quiet location which was quite rural but also very close to the beach and tavernas. Only a few minutes walk. No traffic noise, just birds chickens and goats. We loved staying in Livadi. We felt like part of the community really quickly. The supermarket closest to Drougas even delivers your grocery items so you don't have to carry them in the heat. The entire area is laid back and relaxing and we preferred eating here in the evenings over the Chora which was just too busy for us after staying in Livadi. We used the Asti buses to get around. The Lavadi 5 X 5 stop is only a few minutes walk from Drougas, just by the carpark on the corner. No need to rent a car and way cheaper without any worries that can come with renting a car. Easy to use the app once you have done it the first time. You just need access to the internet but every taverna was happy for us to use their wifi. Livadi beach was actually our favourite. It is a stoney beach but at the end closest to Drougas the stones are very fine and easy to get into the water without hurting your feet. We didn't need beach shoes. Further along the beach you would. The water is super clear and it goes deep really quickly which is great for adults to swim.

1. Room looks even better in reality than in pictures. 2. Extremely clean, the room is cleaned every day, which rarely happens in most of the studios in Greek islands. 3. The host, Iannis is an amazing, wise, kind and calm person who takes care of every little detail. He is genuinely happy to have guests and invests all his time to make them feel comfortable. He taught us some history and even gave us an assignment to continue the learning (which we did). 4. Very good location, almost on the beach, in the best area of the island. Mister Iannis even picked us from the airport and dropped us when we left the island.

Beautiful, spacious and meticulously maintained suite, offering great views to Livadi beach and to the castle of Astypalaia. Well located, less than 5 min walking distance from Livadi beach and 5 min drive from Chora. Family-run business with owners paying exceptional attention to every single detail that would make your stay more comfortable. Great option for both families and groups of people.

My stay at Drouga's was just perfect! I was there for a solo travel and Giannis the owner supported me with information and every help needed making me feel as part of his family! The room was always clean and tided up every day! Very recommended to spend your holidays in Astypalea 😍

One of the best places we have stayed along the years of visiting cyclades and Dodecanese. Small but nice breakfast is included and renewed daily, and every works as expected. Great view of the castle. Mr Giannis was always helpful and accommodating with anything we might have needed.
