Luxe Beach Resort

The photos used in advertisements online, such as beachfront location….

The facility provided a basic room with shower. The location appears abandoned, including a pool in need of a deep clean. Health and safety issues were numerous, including electrical, and dangerous steps. The images used were not of the location we stayed. It appears that the images were from a separate location across the road, behind a walled fence, which would warrant the beachside location. Essentially we were put in a different location to the one advertised…. We left after one night so lost 4 days payment.

Private beach where you can safely while away the day just a short walk (less than 2 mins). Plenty of shade under trees. Free use of paddle boards where snorkeling is fabulous. Lots of little fish to spy on as its a nature reserve. Epic industrial structures to keep the view interesting to the left of the bay. Clean apartments and pool area very chilled. Staff were polite and well mannered. Walking distance to juici pattie where you can get snacks and tasty top up lunches as well as a few shops to buy groceries. Bit rough at night but perfectly fine in the day. Juici opens early at 7am which is great when jet lagged. Not too far from Dunns River (get there when it opens for the best experience). Busy road makes it well connected for North Coast and a breeze to drive. 10 min drive to green grotto caves and plenty of roadside fruit sellers and jerk places. Soup/jerk chicken place to the left 10 min walk (cowskin or pork soups were damn tasty) or drive right turn onto the main Rd to x2 places.

Road outside is busy and noisy but safe to cross if you just use your brain and have a little road sense. We had no bother crossing with young children and x2 elderly. Parking wise it's a steep entry onto a busy road so just again... use your road sense and handbrake.

Nothing, the property was substandard and had lots of cleanliness issues

Very disappointed with The Lux Bech resort, for the high price, the amenities are so basic, everything is half finished, and finished poorly, general cleanliness wasn't good inside and out, the door to the flat was peeling away. The patop doors were hard to open, the tap in the kitchen wasn't plumbed in properly and kept moving, 4 people renting but only 2 seats in the property, and no washcloths, broom or mop etc, staff were great. The view is amazing, but that's the only positive feedback I have as it's beachfront, the noise for the cars is super loud. I would not book this property again

The private beach and pool is amazing!! Totally loved as a tall girl, I wasn't wading, I was swimming! The room is clean, neat modern & chic!

it was a nice stay for me and my son. nice room, easy access to the pool and staff assisted with access to the private beach which is a 1-2 minute walk at most. property is on the strip so access to petrol/food/supermarkets/weed lounges/ATM/beach etc all within walking distance. shower had 0 pressure on arrival & i wasnt sure how to use it...sent an email and staff arrived within minutes to assist which was great. nice balcony area

its not this property specifically its Jamaica in general. they need wheelchair access. they need ramps for pushchairs etc. i left my pushchair out the front at the bottom of the stairs as i couldnt be bothered to keep bringing it up & down but again, not a property issue its Jamaica in general. this is personal to me - I am a very independent person & dont like to bother people. So i would have went to the private beach with my son maybe even 5 times a day, from like 5am if i could. but access to the private beach needs assistance as the entrance is locked (as it should be) so I would have to call for assistance each time which just isnt my thing. so I actually went on the normal beach further down which was actually nice as it was sunday (beach day in jamaica) & fathers day so lots of people & kids were there music was playing etc so it was really nice better than the private even. I read reviews prior about the outside decor & i understood what they meant but that didnt really bother me. nothing stays new forever
