Posidonia Residence

Stayed here for 3 nights in March. We had booked a studio but Giuseppe upgraded us for free on to the top floor and gave us a stunning apartment with fully equipped kitchen and two (!) balconies. The view from there was breath taking. We also met Fransesco who gave us a free bottle of wine just to welcome us for the place. Posedonia has a great location, super friendly staff and it's really worth of your money.

I had never booked an apart-hotel before and was a bit doubtful about the choice. However, it proved to be an excellent decision. The place was good and hosts were more than friendly. Although additional amenities were shown at charge, owners provided them for free. Hotel also provides discounts to several attractions on Ischia. Location is convenient for everything you can do on the island. Rooms are cosy. Overall recommended.

We have stayed here before and had a great time so we didn't even look anywhere else before booking in here again. The staff are super friendly and cant do enough to help upon arrival we were offered a choice of rooms we picked a room on the top floor and had private access to the AMAZING roof top terrace overlooking the beautiful Ischia! so impressed! We throughly enjoyed having out breakfast with that beautiful view every morning.The room was a really good size with a large bathroom and was spotlessly clean. We were given a complimentary bottle of Ischia local wine half way through our stay,they really care about their guests here! The hotel is at the top of a hill about 5 minutes walk from where you get off the boat from Naples,the views are amazing. Will def stay here again when we stay again.thanks guys for a brilliant holiday!

As we arrived we were greeted by Giuseppe and Francesco who were lovely and so happy to help, even gave us a bottle of wine! Having upgraded us to an amazing apartment, with a 15 foot balcony we couldn't have been more happy! It had the most amazing views over Ischia, seeing the Castello, harbour, mountains and the island of Procida. Apartment had a nice kitchen, equipped with plates and glasses which made dining on the balcony a great way to soak up the views. Shops, gelaterias, restaurants all just 5 minutes away, with the beach and the harbour just 10 minutes. One of the main attractions on the island, the Castello, could be walked to in 25 minutes although the best way to visit the thermal springs is by boat. In order to get such great views, the hotel obviously has to be situated high up on a hill, although wasn't a problem at all for us and neither should it be for any able adults or children. Would definitely recommend and stay again......a great hotel for a romantic break!

Upon our arrival we were greeted by Giuseppe who immedately went out of his way to make sure make we were happy and comfortable with our apartment. The views from both balconies are just something you would see in a postcard. The walk up the hill is more than worth it. Clean,comfortable ,convenient to ferry, buses as well as shops. Free wifi was excellent.

We stayed here for a week and loved every minute of our holiday in Ischia at the Posidonia. We were looked after so well by Francesco and Guiseppe. The rooms were immaculate with a view to die for. Our towels were changed mid week and we enjoyed the complimentary bottle of local wine. There was always someone on the front desk to answer any questions and they recommended some amazing restaurants to try, one of which we went back to twice. There is most definately a hill to climb to get to the rooms but you don't get views like we had without putting a bit of effort into it - it meant we worked off all the ice creams we bought at the bottom of the hill! Our daughter unexpectedly joined us for the last night before we moved onto Amalfi and they couldn't have been more accommodating about letting her stay with us. The ferry to Amalfi from the port was a perfect way to travel for the second half of the holiday and highly recommended. And we will always remember their kindness in offering to bring our 3 suitcases and hand luggage down the hill before we got the ferry - on a scooter! The image of Francesco and our bags with very little scooter showing will remain with us for a very long time! this place is easy to find, back turned to the sea turn left until passed the big ice cream shop on the left. There is a bar opposite and across the roundabout, opposite to the bar is the narrow lane leading up to it. The place is very spacious, it it more a small flat than a room. We ended up with an upgrade with a brilliant view. The owner is very nice and very helpful when trying to find buses and he also very helpfully send us a link so we knew which ferry to take from Naples. There are ants, which will show if you leave food out but this is fairly normal and the place itself is really clean. There is a really nice large terrace to sit on with sun loungers if you end up with a room which doesn't have a good view. The flat is very well equipped if you want to cook and also has a large fridge. Towel change and cleaning are done weekly but we didn't really use anything which would have created dirt. there is a lift in the hotel Although up a hill which is steep, nothing is more than 5 - 10 minutes away. We were also offered good tips when wanting to visit a spa and were also given discount vouchers. Ischia itself is simply stunning and with hindsight I wish I had more time there. I definitely intend to return and would have no qualms staying here again.

Just had a 3 night stay here and the hospitality was really great. We were upgraded from a studio to an apartment with lovely views. (There is a hill to walk up but views make up for it). Francesco couldn't be more helpful, he gave us a complimentary bottle of wine, was happy for us to check out later than stated and brought our luggage down to the main street on departure. Couldn't be more helpful, made the stay very comfortable.
