The breakfast could be better

The location is awesome - it's really close to the beach, and many great cafes and restaurants are within easy walk or a very short grab ride and some of the massage places just down the road were really cheap and very good for the price.. The staff were really great however some of them struggled with English so it was somewhat difficult to communicate at times, but they were always happy to help us and very friendly. Overall we were very happy with our stay here and would recommend it.. The family-adjoining room was great because it had a living room in between and two separate doors so it was great for our teenage daughters to stay in and I had some privacy in my bedroom as they did theirs. Having a fridge was great to keep water icy cold. My daughter loved playing with the Koi fish out the front, they even let her stroke them.

The breakfast was okay, not brilliant, but acceptable. I noted that for the people that were staying (mostly western people) most of the food they put out was not eaten so I don't think they were catering for the right group of people, there weren't a lot of Asian people staying yet there was a lot of Asian food for breakfast which did not get eaten and western food was scarce and average quality, i.e white sliced bread, when there are many amazing bakeries around where they could've got some interesting breads and pastries for instance. The pool area is difficult because the pool, although gorgeous, there's a very small area and limited seating so if you get more than about three families there's nowhere to sit or put your stuff where it won't get wet. Do not ask them to spray for mosquitoes because I don't know what they used but it left the most foul oudor for two days, and I suspect it was something extremely toxic and I wish I hadn't asked. I thought they were just gonna give me a can of fly spray but they nuked it. Oh, and something both myself and my kids commented on were the pillows, they are the really thick polyester style pillows that are hard are and not that comfortable. I feel they should give you a bit of an assortment - some softer pillows for people that prefer that. And there's plenty of room in the cupboard where they could put some extra pillows so you could choose which one you prefer - just a suggestion. The air-conditioner went off for two nights, the first night I thought it was me and then when it happened the second night I realised it had a problem but once I raised it with them they fixed it very quickly so they are very attentive.

Lovely tropical environment with fish in the pond at the entrance. Staff very friendly. Easy walk to beach and restaurants. I would highly recommend staying there.
