The Boardwalk Accommodation

The feeling of coming home was not something I expected when I booked The Boardwalk. Paula and every single staff member (Anna, Vanessa, Keith, Gerald, Ishmael, I know I’m missing someone) treats you with absolute kindness and the utmost consideration. They go every extra mile for you, and then some. Everything is clean, neat, and just works together to make your life easier. The views are phenomenal. The southeaster (when blowing) blows every single cobweb hiding in your head straight out your ears. Some mornings you’re lucky enough to get that deep, salty smell of true ocean, the likes of which I had not smelled since Swakopmund in 1987. If you want silk sheets and a cappuccino maker, keep looking (and pay through your nostrils for it). If you want (and can appreciate) decent, built into the bedrock of GB harbour, salt of the earth humans to look after and accommodate you, book now. You will not regret being here.

That it took me as long as it did to figure out how to close the door leading to the unit. Close door as any other, then lift handle as if you’ve had a few too many and can’t figure out if a door handle goes up or down.

Bathroom is looking tired especially the shower ie grouting needs replacing Towels need replacing as looking decidedly worn and off white in colour Some of the channels listed could not actually be accessed due to an error message or a message saying the account is overdue for payment Salt and pepper utensils empty

Morden flat, great view, hidden from the bad wind we got, locality very nice.

building not prepare for load shedding only 2 flash lights and candels were provided. Suggest that light globes be in stall in all the rooms

Loud music from restaurant/pub.

It had the perfect location for what we had in mind. The amazing view. Close walk to the beach and restaurants. Friendly Staff and security. We experienced loadshedding, but we were sorted. Would definitely do a return visit.
