Good value, convenient, shared kitchen area so opportunity to meet other travellers. Close to nice pathway near river for running or walking.

DO NOT PARK IN FRONT OF BUILDING. I arrived after 11pm in dark and was clamped at 2am. So turned into a very, very expensive night.

Everything was great from helpfulness of staff, the room was adequate for what it was needed for.. bed and a shower.

The walls were so thin and I was placed next to someone who snored all night so I did not sleep a wink. Unfortunately I left at 6am because there was no point staying any longer.

The kitchen bins were overflowing with rubbish. The extractor fan in the bathroom was broken.

Room was spotless. Staff were friendly but unprepared.

Check in was an absolute disaster. I emailed the property to let them know I was going to be late. Received no reply but thought nothing of it. I arrived in at ten to midnight and the night staff had no record of my booking and no access to the computer system to find it. The girl on the desk was pleasant but clearly only night security. It took a half hour to sort out (through calls and texts between the night security guard and someone who clearly had some form of access) and the solution was poor. I was taken to an empty room and let in with the master key. It didn't feel very safe to be honest. There was no record of my presence and I couldn't leave my room to use the kitchen / get drinking water without leaving my door propped open. The lack of safety just doubled when the security staff member let herself in again fifteen minutes later with the master key as she'd forgotten to have me fill in a registration form. This wasn't appropriate at all. While being registered made me feel a bit better it did not solve my inability to move around the property alone. I had to knock to be allowed into reception to check out in the morning which is just genuinely unsafe. I understand that night security was doing their best at a job that wasn't theirs and they clearly weren't trained for, but the whole situation was just ridiculous. The ball was very much dropped and I wouldn't recommend anyone stay here until the potential for this is sorted out, never mind a woman travelling alone.

Among all the hotels I’ve stayed in, this was by far the worst experience.
