Bungalows Doble UVE

The area was nice, there are good restaurants and a few little shops, a lovely beach and nice walks. It is a little walk to main shops and bars.

The book in was difficult and we was given room keys to 2 rooms who had people already staying in them luckily for us they where not home when we went in or that could have been a very challenging situation. The room was OK, but dirty, the quiet cover had dirty sticky marks on it. The pillows in the wardrobe had no covers or protectors and were disgusting stained. The sheets had holes and stains on them. The curtains had dirty black marks stains and holes in them, plus they were faded, and the hem was coming unstiched. The microwave was disgusting, and we could not have used it. The bathroom was big, but the tray in the shower was rusty, the glass dirty like it had not been cleaned properly, round the sink was black mould. The bathroom looked like it had been a bedroom and as such had a large window with no privacy glass they did have curtains up and a film on the window but this didn't seem to do much so we kept the curtains and windows closed. We had no washing machine even though it says you do. We did get to use a washing machine in the cleaners room once, but this was awkward as she was using for towels and bedding, and the room was only open for a few hours in the morning. The pool was not able to be used. The pumps were not on, and it was cloudy and had leaves dirt and twiggy in it. I did check each day, hoping I could use it. Unfortunately I wouldn't stay again

The location was the best thing about these bungalows... not too close to the beach to be noisy, not too far to make it bothersome to get to the beach. The bungalow was very humid, even when we kept the door and window opened during the day, the sofa had several stains and there were little kitchen utensils especially if you wanted to cook a meal. Very close to a shopping mall full of restaurants and 2 supermarkets, best feature! Few minutes by car from the airport. The wi-fi was poorly functioning, I could easily say almost at all. For the price we paid it could have been a little bit better.

A great complex, which was lovely and quiet with very friendly neighbours who had booked for a couple of months. Lovely and spacious, with a large bathroom too.We would definitely go back.

Very close to airport so can be noisy when planes pass but wouldn’t stop us going again.

What a peaceful, comfortable home from home. I had appt 4 , it was big and spacious, really comfy sofa, massive bathroom with a large stand in shower. It was really clean, close to beach and amenities. There is a supermarket right opposite with a few bars & restaurants 1 min walk away. It really is the perfect location in Matagorda. I really like the fact I could nip back from the beach at lunch, via the supermarket, make fresh rolls and back to the beach for a picnic, with Lays of course! The TV was great you could log into your Netflix, so after a long day on the beach , it was great to come back, make a cup of tea and watch TV... honestly its one of the best, most relaxing holidays I have had in Lanzarote. I have been there a few times, stayed in the big all inclusive hotels. But I really preferred the home from home feel in this apartment complex. Highly recommend. ( I have already looked to come back for my birthday in March, but its booked up). The permanent breeze in Lanzarote was a god send, if you leave the windows open in the bathroom and lounge, it made a wonderful wind tunnel, I never felt overheated, even with no aircon. They provide towels and a few loo rolls, but you will have to buy washing up liquid, soap etc. but all we really cheap in the supermarket. There is a toaster, kettle and all the crockery etc you need. The fridge has a small freezer section for ice etc.

Only small negatives, I could not get onto the WIFI , there was no one around, the reception only opened 9.30-12.30 and I was on the beach by then (but I have great data for free , thanks O2, so it wasn't an issue). The bed was really really rickety and noisy and the room smelt a bit 'off' , but I always take fabric freshener with me, so a good spray of bed and curtains and I left the window open when I was in the appt, that stifled the smell a lot. Nothing deterred me from having a great time, the appt on a whole was fantastic. One small suggestion would be , if its a late check in , maybe a bottle of water in the fridge would be a nice gesture? I brought extra on the plane just to have first thing before the supermarket opened, but not everyone thinks of that...
