-Gestione della spiaggia da parte del vicino hotel, nello specifico la spiaggia veniva pulita saltuariamente. -presenza massiva di alghe e intervento di rimozione delle stesse ad ormai conclusione della settimana.

The location is amazing.

The bathroom. The shower is not as good as other apartments in the same complex - small and old and the toilet flush is tricky to function.

Posizione perfetta a pochi passi dal mare e dalla movida del paese. Tramite una Passarella lungo la spiaggia potevi accedere direttamente al paese. Comodissima per chi ha bimbi piccoli perché la spiaggia e davvero a pochi passi dal mare. Struttura nuova e pulitissima con tutte le comodità.

Presenza massiccia di alghe sulla spiaggia e in acqua . Nonostante le lamentele di per lo meno di pulire la battigia solo dopo 4 giorni sono arrivate le ruspe per pulire. Cosa inutile perché con il moto ondoso il giorno dopo eravamo punto e a capo.

Karin greeted us as dear guests. Very cozy. Despite the small area of ​​the room, everything was compensated by the terrace with a view of the sea! Gorgeous sunsets, well-kept territory, luxurious beach. Everything within walking distance. We really liked it.

Perfect for families. No car needed. It‘s everything in walking distance (restaurants, beach, food stores).

We’d stayed in Santa Maria Di Castellabate previously, and love the town and area, but we’d not rented or known of Residenza Fontanelle before we booked online from Canada for 24 days in September 2024. The property is on the sea, and is close to town, but wasn’t quite what we expected on arrival. Karin, the very helpful and friendly manager, helped make our stay a pleasant one, and our unit - which we didn’t realize was the highest on the mountainside - was, as expected , clean, efficient and spartan, with a stunning view out, over the sea well below.

It was NOT made clear in the ad on Bookings.com that the property is built on the side of a very steep hill. Assigned parking for our unit was impossible to access, except perhaps, by Smartcar or motor scooter. The result was that we had to park our semi-compact on the road above. This meant we had to climb up and down a sharp incline each day to get to our car. The lovely, sandy beach was far below our unit, and was reached by steep winding road and stairs. We are seniors, so these obstacles may mean less to younger renters, but they were extremely important to us. I took a minor fall on our first day. We SHOULD HAVE BEEN CLEARLY INFORMED OF THIS PROPERTIES LIMITATIONS. It would have been a deal breaker for us.

The location was perfect. The apartment totally exceeded expectations. It was excellent value for money. Beds comfy, view amazing. Unlimited free drinking water was a nice touch.

This is not a dislike but a couple of points to note. The apartment is on a hill so it’s up and down to the beach/ town - only for the able bodied. It also has a daily limited supply of hot water which we needed to manage with teenagers.
