Bijzondere locatie om te overnachten. Het klooster kan bezocht worden, wat zeker de moeite waard is. Het bijbehorende restaurant serveert oa traditioneel eten.

It is a monastery guest house, not a standard hotel, very new (they are still working on it, as of Sept 2025) rooms are a bit austere/simple, bathroom is shared with several other rooms. But it is extremely peaceful , amazing views. Monastery itself, which is beautiful, is right next door. Very cheap.

The restaurant. It is a steep 1 km down the hill, at the main road, and they don't tell you this in the description of the guest house. If you came without a private car, like us, you are a bit stuck. In the guest house itself there is no coffee, tea, nada. You can drink water from the bathroom faucet. This is a bit strange. They invested a fortune in the building, very fancy, could add a modest coffee or vending machine, a kettle with tea bags. As for the restaurant, well, again, they invested a fortune in the structure, waiters dress in fancy Macedonian national customs, but there are strange things. On a cool night you are seated in an open balcony and are given a blanket. What wàs the architect thinking? The service is cold, impersonal, as if the waiters are underpaid. Plates and decor look fancy but the food itself is quite mediocre, by Balkan standards. It's a pity. But setting is beautiful.
