Hotel Suites Del Centro

The staff were lovely, the room was big and quiet. There was a fridge in the room (which I’ve come to realise after multiple stays in Mexico is not always the norm) and the building was secure. It’s a great location as it’s 2 blocks from the Main Street so very close and a safe walk (solo female traveller) and in between to oxxos but far enough so you don’t have so much foot fall and traffic noise. The rooftop is a nice place to chill in the sun or shade.

There is a note requesting we tip cleaners - which is absolutely fine but on day two they literally put the duvet over my bed (didn’t make the bed) and didn’t wash the glass and bowl I had used. I was assuming I tipped at the end of my stay so not sure if they did this because they didn’t see a daily tip but after that I decided not to tip at all because regardless, the cleaner should clean the room. Bathroom does have a slight damp smell but nothing offensive.

El trato es muy amable, y la habitación "correcta" y adecuada al precio. La ubicación es buena y tiene estacionamiento lado, lo que es conveniente si viajes en coche particular (muchos hoteles en Oaxaca afirman tener estacionamiento, y lo que tienen es la opción de un lugar no muy lejos, en el cual puedes dejar el auto)

El baño es demasiado austero, el wifi no funciona bien, y es incómodo que no haya desayuno, si bu¿bien te ofrecen gratis café y galletas, y nuestro cuarto tenía refrigerador y cocineta

This hotel is in a perfect location, minutes from markets, the Basilica, and the Zocalo. There are excellent restaurants around. The staff was friendly and helpful. The apartment was very clean. The terrace on top of the building was really nice. Free access to a car parking two doors down was a big plus. We highly recommend this hotel to any travelers. Excellent value!

The room was a little dark due to the fact that it was on the ground floor. We loved the colorful hallway to reach it though.
