Hotel Apolafsi

The room was big with huge balcony overlooking a garden, kitchen and bathroom. But the air condition was not working ok and I had a cold night, the premises were smelling of moisture. Good hotel, excellent location (50 metres from the sea) but not cared about. Everything was old and taken care of.

Many things - heating, smell of moisture, old and worn out furniture.

Excellent location to stay if you have a car. Plenty of parking, very quiet neighbourhood and a 10 to 15 min drive to the Port of Volos.

It is getting a bit dated.

During our 10 days trip to Greece, this was, by far, the worst hotel we stayed. It is an aparthotel, very old, both outside and inside. We rent an apartment with two rooms, and both were very old, although clean and with working wifi. The WC, again clean, looks even older than the rest. It has a small kitchen, but we only used the fridge. It's a 5 minute walk to the beach. It has some small supermarkets and a restaurant very close by. It is cheap, so one cannot expect luxury,

The aparthotel is frozen on the 50's, 60's. The furniture, the WC, the kitchen tools, are almost from that time. We arrived at the time we told we would, and there was no one there. After some phone calls, an old but nice man came to open the door for us. He barely speaks English - and we cannot speak Greek - but through signs we were able to communicate. We stood there only one night, luckily.
