It was a nice stay. We decided to stay in a different part of Kyoto from our original ryokan on the other side of town. It was much different but it was quiet, clean, and easy to get around from! This property had everything you'd need to feel like you're at someone's home with the full kitchen + small fridge/freezer, washing machine, good sized bathroom and a nice little seating nook by the bed. We loved the bikes available to check out (for free) but the only complaint was that my partner who is 6'2" couldn't ride the bike comfortably as the seat didn't get high enough for him. Despite that, we were grateful for the access and the freedom to ride around after walking way too much the past 2 days.

Communication with the owner was a little slow/light but we believe it was cause of the language barrier.

The classic Japanese tatami room with futon was surprisingly comfortable and cozy. The location was perfect to catch any bus to go around Kyoto. Other than Japanese food, there was a great Thai and Indian restaurant nearby to try when you don't want Japanese food.

Washing machine had a slight smell, most likely needs a cleaning/bleach cycle.

Excellent directions on how to get there and also how to use the appliances, and wonderful recommendations for food and things to do. Very clean, comfortable, and it was s fun to stay in a Japanese apartment.

They got 4 bikes there rent for free.

Because there’s no lift in the building, so if u got heavy luggage and your room is on 3/F, might be a nightmare.

I really loved the location and the spacious room. It was great coming after such a long trip to have everything ready upon my arrival! I wish I could have spent more time there but I would definitely recommend this place to stay!
