The Olive Yard

Fantastische Lage, der Strand ist in unmittelbarer Nähe fußläufig erreichbar. Unser Gastgeber George und eine sehr nette Dame waren sehr höflich, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Highlight war der eigene kleine Balkon mit direktem Blick aufs Meer über die Olivenhaine des Anwesens hinweg. Zwei Katzen mit Nachwuchs haben uns morgens beim Frühstück auf dem eigenen Balkon besucht. Außerdem nisten dort Schwalben in den Ecken, das war sehr idyllisch.

Ce as putea spune in plus? Mi-a placut atat de mult, astfel ca am venit pentru a doua oara in acest loc minunat. Este amplasat strategic, de aici putand explora toate cele trei peninsule ale Peloponez-ului, precum si alte obiective din centrul Peloponez-ului, aceasta locatie fiind situata undeva la mijloc, de aici parcurgand cam aceiasi numar de kilometri in orice directie te-ai deplasa. In apropiere exista plaja Glyfada care mi s-a parut ca are un nisip chiar mai fin decat plaja de pe insula Elafonisos, unde exista o parcare pentru cei care vin la plaja si o parcare pentru cei care vin la restaurant, acolo existand un restaurant cu specific pescaresc. In apropiere exista oraselul Gythio unde gasesti o sumedenie de taverne, mare parte dintre ele cu specific pescaresc, dar si cu specific grecesc. La iesirea din Gythio exista un producator local de masline si ulei de masline la preturi rezonabile. In incinta proprietatii exista suficiente locuri de parcare. Curatenie, personal amabil si atent la toate detaliile. Toate camerele au cate o terasa unde te poti relaxa si servi micul-dejun. As reveni oricand cu mare placere.

Das Hotel ist eine Oase mitten in Olivenhainen. Es liegt sehr idyllisch und ist nur circa 3 km von Gythio entfernt. Das Besondere ist die Freundlichkeit des Personals. Man wird bestens beraten, was Restaurants in der Umgebung und auch Ausflugsziele betrifft. Wir fanden es fast schade, dass wir nur zwei Nächte gebucht hatten und wären gerne länger geblieben. Die Zimmer sind sehr stilvoll eingerichtet mit allem, was man braucht, sogar eine kleine Küchenzeile ist vorhanden. Klasse fanden wir auch, dass das Frühstück aufs Zimmer gebracht wird und wir draußen auf dem eigenen Balkon frühstücken konnten. Insgesamt ist das Hotel einfach nur sensationell!

We have stayed in a number of places in The Peloponnese but The Olive Yard was truly exceptional. Quiet, beautiful grounds, absolutely fabulous room with an exceptionally comfortable bed (Coco-mat) and powerful hot shower. Breakfast on the terrace was the icing on the cake! We hope to return as this was a wonderful stay. Top tip: if you have time, there is a laid-back beach bar 8 mins walk away which we enjoyed

The local cats were a bit annoying - but also cute!
