Villa Otto

The owner made us feel extremely welcome. He helped us with figuring out our plans and patiently answered our questions. He was flexible and understanding when we had to delay some things or check in late. Of course, we tried to respect his check in times as much as possible, but we hit some traffic and he was able to wait for us. The location was also very enjoyable. In addition to being surrounded by the mountains, it was nice to walk out in the morning and hear the rushing of the stream by the house. Everything we wanted was at most a 30 min car ride or a short bus and cabel car ride.

It was a great location, the host was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the area and was always very helpful with any questions we had in regards to the area and our stay .

The stay was pleasant. The host was brilliant and he was very helpful throughout the stay. Location was only 5/10 minutes away from the edge of town and the bus stop. Having the Val Gardena cards meant free public transport too which is great.

Unfortunately, the facilities weren't all there. Listing showed a microwave but there wasn't one. Also an oven would have made the kitchen usable. Unfortunately just with the hob there wasn't much range of cooking options. Provision of basic necessities (i.e cooking oil, salt & pepper, etc) weren't provided so if you wanted to cook for a short stay it made it a little impractical.

This was a great base for a summer hiking trip - close to a bus stop to connect to other towns/chairlifts. Everything was clean and the kitchen had plenty of pots/pans/crockery etc which made it easy to cater for ourselves when we wanted (there’s a supermarket about a ten minute walk away). Matthias was a wonderful host who had some great suggestions for hikes and was incredibly helpful. Would not hesitate to return or recommend to others!

The accommodation is very comfortable, modern and clean. There is everything, what is neccesary for stay. Owner was friendly and try to say a lot of information.
