Duke Casa Apartment

The room we moved to was good. Comfortable, roomy enough, clean and open, with balcony.

Allocated room was at the back with a VERY close up view of the back wall and aircon units of a hotel. We moved to the front at, what I thought was quite a large price increase.I enquired the price for a monthly stay. It was too much as similar apartments are available in the area at much lower prices, easily found by just strolling around and enquiring.

Bed was incredibly comfy and size of room was decent however the service.....

As a veteran traveller who’s stayed at 100s of hotels, I can honestly say I’ve never experienced such a poor stay with unapologetic staff. Being woken up every day at 7am by heavy duty drilling and building work that would go on for 7-10 hours is honestly hand on heart the worse experience I’ve ever encountered. When asking staff is it like this every day initially they told me it was 1 day only and would stop before 7pm which turned out to be a complete fabrication of the truth. Not once did anyone apologise for the construction noise or drilling. To add insult to injury I’m a digital nomad and work completely online having several meetings a day so when I noticed there was a do not disturb button on the door I was very please however despite turning this on EVERY SINGLE DAY without fail I would be rudely interrupted by housekeeping who even entered the room one day while I was showering - Again no apologie. It’s a huge shame about the lack of care and service to guests at this hotel because I loved how comfy the bed was and it has real attention to be a success however with poor management and lack of customer service I would AVOID AT ALL COSTS unless you want to wake up at 7am daily with the loudest drilling you’ve ever heard for several hours.

I found the location good. Near the sea, however it is not for swimming rather for surfing suitable. There are a few small shops nearby. But no karaoke bar to hear! The room is as on the pictures. The hotel is cute.

My room had not much view. I found facing another hotel wall and windows to near. The minibar is too small to be able to store enough ingredients in it for cooking. For me the pool on the 8th floor was too windy.
