Enalio Suites

Great suite near the beach and restaurants. Comfortable bed, good quality linens and we also had a sofa. Staff were helpful and even provided a kettle for us. We didn't see the place in the best weather - it was torrential rain. The pool was not open and was the main reason we picked the hotel. A power cut also limited services but they were quick to refund the cost of the breakfast they were unable to provide.

The place is top notch! Staff, hotel location, food, service! A real gem off the beaten path.

I stayed three nights in one of the top floor apartments. The room was actually bigger than I expected from the photos, but it is small, also the bathroom. Not a problem for me, but keep it in mind. The balcony view is fantastic, and larger than you might expect. Especially scenic when the sun sets, or at dawn. The balcony also has a partial cover, shielding the balcony from rain. The doors can be slided open very wide and there is also a sliding mosquito screen. And curtains with a cord, very stylish and functional. Also, the safe was huge, I could easily put my laptop in it. The bathroom also had an automatic toilet cleaning system. I have no idea how this worked exactly, but it makes some churning noise once in a while (but not annoying). I had dinner at two fish restaurants nearby, Faros and Takis, which I can highly recommend. Especially Faros is just a two minute walk away. Highlight was staff and service, always available, welcoming and super helpful. I paid 25€ for laundry, a reasonable price for a medium size bag. My clothes were ready on the next day.

Overall, I felt that the apartment was overpriced for the value I got. While the location is great for visiting Acrocorinth and ancient Corinth, or other sites like Nemea, the Isthmus, etc., the neighbourhood is not the nicest, although it is not directly near the port or an industrial zone. I had the impression that the hotel really tries to save money everywhere, and you feel it. Nothing dramatic, but it spoils the experience. For example, the whole-grain honey cereal is just disappointing cheap rings of processed something, I didn't even try it. Breakfast was ok, however you need to order a day in advance. I am more of a buffet lover for breakfast, where you can choose and mix freely. I guess there is simply not enough space for a proper buffet on the hotel grounds. I missed more power sockets in my room, ideally providing a power extension board would be helpful here. I also had difficulties to open the mosquito screen, it was very hard to push it open. The stairs to the top floor are quite narrow, it is difficult to carry a large suitcase up to the room. The bathroom uses a boiler, which you have to switch on manually, and then it takes a while until you have enough hot water. Not really problematic, but at times a bit inconvenient. The WiFi worked, and the internet speed was mostly ok, but the hotel uses a captive portal, and you need to reenter the password every now and then when your device disconnects, which I found annoying. The pool size is a bit small for the size of the hotel. That wouldn't be a problem for me, if the beach surf zone wouldn't be super shallow for I don't know how many meters. There is plenty of private parking space on the other side of the road, but no real shade for the cars, unfortunately.
