Hotel Kalamitsi Apartments

We had a. great time. Everything was exceptional! The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed! The patio was also very spacious and had a view to the pool, which was amazing! We will definitely visit again soon!

The pool and sun lounger area is great, it was a bit cold in May with some wind but our kids still spent ages in the big pool and head a great time. The location is fairly remove but its great to be in nature, we was fire flys and bats walking down the track to the beachfront and a hedgehog outside the guesthouse in the evening.

no shops in walking distance, its fine if you have a car but you would be a bit stranded without. Drive to Preveza is 5-10 mins, a good supermarket about 5mins.

HOTEL KALAMITSI APPARTMENTS PREVEZA The hotel and room are very clean. We did have a drain smell, but the staff resolved it by cleaning shower drain . Plus, I put some nice smelly stuff down it regularly. The staff were friendly and helpful. Pool bar sold greek salad , chicken nuggets, club sandwich . Cold drinks reasonably prised. We knew the hotel said you needed a car, so we messaged and arranged a moped, which they said they could provide . We love walking so researched back roads to walk to the closest places. The hotel has an ethos of being a relaxing remote destination , piece full and calm . The potential is definitely there. Breakfast was a continental buffet and replenished regularly. Tasty and well cooked. The size of the pool is amazing, it's why we chose the hotel . It has the potential to be calm, relaxing, and quiet. It is clean and the surroundings are lovely. It is the main feature of the hotel. Overall, it's a nice place . 3 star,yes.

HOTEL KALAMITSI APPARTMENTS PREVEZA As I mentioned, the drain smell was resolved but shouldn't have been left till we arrived and complained. I think a new shower hook would be better as it does not sit right. therefore, you have to hold the attachment over your head. The moped was not available when we got there, and all though the reception staff said he would get it the next day that never happened. He never said it's here for you . We weren't prepared to chase him on it. So for a week, we ate out twice and had lunch at the hotel once as only 3 food options were the rest we got taxis. City taxis have set price . Taxis called by hotel charge differently. €10 to nearest resturant(taverna Pelagos) 5 mins and €8 back . Sadly, we decided just to stretch our legs and go for a walk. Turned right out of the back entrance to the hotel . Walked 10 minutes but had to turn back . Each property had very aggressive guard dogs. They go crazy it was quite unpleasant and scary, so we gave up on that idea. We kept telling ourselves it was our first week, and we should just be relaxing around the pool . We were away 3 weeks . While writing this, we are now in Parga. The farm land adjacent to the hotel has a dog that barks along with all the other dogs 60% of the night and a Cockerell from 5 am onwards . I bought ear plugs on day 4 in Preveza . The tranquil calm pool lasted for as long as it wasn't a public pool . Most staying guests at the hotel Go out in their cars and bikes. So effectively the hotel would be the calm relaxing environment it is sold as however daily outsiders , large families small families use the pool . They buy coffee and water and take over the pool. It was like a nursery one day 15 babies in floats mummy's and daddies. It got quite noisy. One day, we had to ask bar men to stop bats and balls that were going on behind our sunbeds . It's such a shame because it's a lovely place .

Friendly host, always available for everything you need, pleasant atmosphere. The staff is unobtrusive, but always "at hand". The hotel area is beautifully decorated. Quiet location. Warm recommendation.
