Matecumbe Resort

The place was easy to find. The room was clean and comfortable. Beautiful view of the gulf.

Could use some hooks to hang wet swimsuits/towels. The bathroom needs some work. Towel bar was ready to come off wall, the sink was too large for the space. A child would not have been able to brush their teeth. It was too high to reach. Also a lot of plastic garbage along concrete wall when tide was out.

No breakfast, but free coffee and coffee pot was nice.

Another guest was belligerent about us parking in his space. The management was very helpful in resolving the issue and letting him know there are no assigned spaces - first come first served. Other guests were very friendly.

The apartment was clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. The pool was amazing--clean and quiet! The facility was very close to the ocean and there is a sandy beach and nice playground. Kayaks and bikes were available to use free of charge. There was a coin operated laundry facility available.

Although the apartments are very close to the ocean, it was not a place that you could comfortably enter the ocean. The seaweed has taken over and has quite a strong smell. Regardless, we really enjoyed our stay.

No breakfast included. Beautiful location. Pool area was well maintained at all times. Very safe resort area. I would stay here again.

It was very inconvenient to only get clean towels and wash cloths during one hour twice a week. The beach waterfront was beyond disgusting! I couldn't imagine anything that would make me step into that cesspool.

The property was a 10/10. Looks like something out of a movie. We were comfortable and well taken care of. Staff was accommodating on our early arrival and we appreciated that so much. The bed was AMAZING.

Only complaint was the fridge could’ve used a wipe down but other than that it was perfect

Nothing great other than the low price. The view was quite nice. Large kitchen, well equipped. Quiet.

Seaweed stench. Photographs are dated. Bed way too high and soft. Awful service! Staff hours are unreasonable (9.30am to 4pm) with checkout between (10.30am to 11.00am). Cleaning service came into the apartment before we checked out.

The location was perfect. We were on the top floor overlooking the water. Our unit had a nice living space with a full kitchen, and a separate bedroom in the back. Everything was clean and tidy!

We were having a nice, quiet relaxing time at this resort until a big group moved in nextdoor (a minimum of 8 people). Unfortunately, they were very noisy, stayed up late and didn't care about the other people staying around them - we ended up not sleeping for several hours until the noise stopped around 1am. Very disrespectful.
