I stayed in room 7. I'd originally been booked in to stay at the maisonette, but the owner was kind enough to provide a last-minute free upgrade to room 7, which is larger. Thank you! The room was very clean and tidy. The room was spacious, with its own kitchenette, fridge, microwave, toilet, shower, and washing machine, television, small dining table, chairs, 2 seat sofa, and another single seat sofa. There was plenty of space to lay a couple suitcases down. After a long day of climbing, it was a a joy to sink into comfortable bed and unwind. The thermostat was set to the perfect default temperature - just warm enough to provide comfort from the frosty climate, but not so hot as to be cloying. The thermostat could be adjusted, but I didn't feel the need to. Parking spaces were bigger than I'd expected. My compact rental car had about a metre to spare when parked, as you can see in the attached pics. I booked this room because of its central location and parking, and it delivered on both counts. In short, this room exceeded my expectations, and I would be happy to stay here again.

On my second night, another person parked in my parking space. Parking spaces are clearly marked by room number. It was not busy, so I ended up parking in another persons space (room 9). I can see how this can become a problem if it's a full house. Also the first night was super-quiet. However, the second night was a little noisier. The people in the neighbouring (or upstairs room, it was hard to tell) walked about the place with very heavy footfall, which reverberated. This didn't last beyond midnight though, and it was quiet after that.

Everything you need. Great location. Responsive staff. Nice and warm. Clean. Good bed.
