Swiss Mountain Village

I loved the setting - the chalet buildings were all neat looking and it really felt like I was in the mountains. There was a pond and the area was very quiet. The room we were in was very well set up and had everything we could need.

The mattress was very hard although I find most hotels do have a much harder mattress than I have at home.

Swiss Mountain Village is so beautiful! The condo we stayed in (#41) was gorgeous! Everything was decorated nicely and cozy with a stone fireplace. Queen bed, two double beds and a pull out couch. Rocking chairs on the porch were nice to relax and look at the view. 15 mins from downtown Boone, 5 mins to downtown Blowing Rock. Would definitely stay again!

The only thing was the pillows were so flat, maybe bring your own. Other than that, it was great!

Not quite sure the point of housekeeping when you have all these rules for checking out and cleaning yourself in lieu of a $50 charge. And then asking for us to tip our housekeeping….

There’s not much I liked about it

Because it said it had private rooms, but nothing was private. Everything was open. The walls were thin. The gutters were slap full of debris and left a wet spot on the deck that I slipped on more than once there were so many leaves piled up in the sitting areas at the unit we were at that you couldn’t even see the deck And there was a list of things you had to do to not get charged 50 bucks which was basically clean the whole place and leave the laundry perfect for them just to pick up and do and then they wanted to tip on top of that when all they had to do was the laundry because the rest of the place we had to clean our self

Was nicely located in the landscape

Very expensive for facilities offered. No staff present what so ever.
