Vigles Sea View, Philian Hotels and Resorts

Loved it so much i am coming back for a few days at the end of September. Very quiet, great views and very welcoming staff.

It was a very relaxing one night stay. We had a flight the next day but definitely wish we could have stayed longer.

Very nice views. The maid cleans the rooms thoroughly on daily basis. The girls in reception are very pleasant and ready to help with everything. The breakfast has a wide variety of choices for everyone’s taste.

Vigles is on the hillside overlooking Skiathos town and airport. Don't be put off by its vicinity to the airport, it wasn't intrusive and it was fascinating watching the planes arrive and depart. The view was stunning overlooking green hills, boats in the bay and nearby islands. At nightime the views from the balconies were equally stunning. You can walk to town but best to get a taxi which the hotel can arrange for a fixed price and use port taxi rank on return. The swimming pool, bar area, loungers and towels and breakfast were fantastic, food was wonderful quality and plentiful. If you stayed by the pool, lunchtime sandwiches and salads were welcome and fresh. They staff were exceptional, always available to help and friendly service. Highly recommend staying here if you visit Skiathos town, quiet, relaxing, great views and super staff, away from the hustle and bustle of town.

The family room was a little plain. The twin bed area has a (quiet) fridge as a viewpoint, perhaps the layout could be changed to make it feel more like a bedroom. Pictures and some colour would have enhanced the apartment. But we didn't spend much time in the apartment as the pool area and bar was fabulous. The sofa bed wasn't long enough for my tall son, perhaps replace with full beds and have a separate sofa/chair/table area and lose the tall table. A bit of reconfiguration would make a big difference. Still an excellent stay.

The only two things worth the stay are the staff that are really nice and helpful and the view from the pool.

Looking at booking photos and reality is like looking at a porsche and getting a 50 year old falling apart car. It feels like a scam. The reality is a shock, the rooms are old with a lot of falling apart bits, it is at the most a 1,5 to 2 stars, there is no reception no lounge nothing, the reception is at the pool bar, the breakfast also at the pool bar. Shame on booking and on the owners, the first for not checking the proprieties it lists and the seconds for posting photos that are clearly AI or photoshopped. I would not recommend this hotel stay away there are much nicer options in Skiathos. There where spider webs everywhere in the room, the shower was awful with no wall support the foam from the baths would appear in the middle of the bathroom thought the sewage system. The baseboard was falling apart, there where airs in the bathtub and in the pillow… really stay away from what is clearly a scam!
