Clean, beautiful breakfast and lovely staff who took good care of us

Stella and Stathis were the best hosts anyone could ask for! Every morning we had a delicious breakfast, of fresh homemade pies and cakes as well as jam, fresh bread and fruit from their garden. Every day they would give us information about the island, from beaches to restaurants. The rooms were cleaned spotless every day!! The sea view from our room was breathtaking and we couldn’t get enough of it. The rooms were spacious and had all the amenities we required. We can’t thank enough the staff at Stella’s houses for providing us with an amazing stay! Looking forward to seeing them again soon!!

Stella’s Houses are set up on a hill overlooking the sea at Agia Pelagia. The view is amazing. Stella and her son Stathis are the best hosts I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is absolutely amazing. Everything is homemade by Stella. The best Greek coffee too. We will definitely stay there again should we be back on Kythera.

The only thing we found we didn’t like was the bed. For us, it was a bit too hard but having said that, we had no trouble at all sleeping. Apart from that, there is. O thing we didn’t like.

The family are fantastic from the warm welcome, information and out of this world home made breakfast. Stella is up at 5.30am to get things ready with freshly made pastries, cakes, souffle and home made bread. The place is spotlessly clean and friendliness exudes. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Stella and Stathis are amazing hosts, with a ton of information about the island. Their accommodations are spacious and have a beautiful view of the bay. Stella’s breakfasts really started our day off well, with too many tasty things to choose from, and Stathis could be a tour guide with his excellent advice on places to go. He is also readily available if you have a question.

I’m sensitive to noise, so sometimes was bothered by the pump.

Very helpful and a good source of information about where to go how to get there and what you can do. Plus being local they have historical information about the island which I enjoyed hearing about.

We stayed for 9 days, but felt like home from the very first day. I can easily and sincerely say that this was the most wonderful stay in Greece and we visited many islands in the last 10 years. Stathis and Stella exceeded our expectations and treated us like dear friends, helping us in every little way, making sure that we feel welcomed, comfortable and at ease at all times. The room (more like an apartment) was very spacious, beautiful, with everything we needed, it was cleaned very careful every day and we often found a little gift waiting for us, putting a smile on our faces and warming our hearts. The terrace was big, the view was breathtaking, especially at sunrise, from up there you can see the red sun rising from the sea and everything is so quiet and serene. And the breakfast, oh dear, it was one of our favorite things of the day, the pies and the cakes that Stella cooked were to die for and every day she cooked something different because you can get bored eating the same thing every morning, but the meals never repeated once and I tell you, every breakfast was delicious! Every morning Stathis came with suggestions about where to go that day, depending on the weather, especially the direction of the wind, so we can have a perfect day seeing the beauties of the island. We followed his suggestions and were never disappointed, every day was a magical adventure. You can tell he loves the island and wants to inspire other people to love it too, he is very passionate and has so many stories and information about everything that you could listen to him for hours, and we did, he he. We also have been visited by two funny little kittens from the area, they kept us company and what impressed us was that not only they didn't kicked them out, because we've seen that happen some times in Greece, but they left some food in the room so we can feed them and a ball to play with them and for this gesture they had our total respect. We absolutely loved our stay here!

The provided breakfasts were prepared by Stella using home grown & locally produced ingredients. The options varied each day of our stay. Stella's son Stathis was a welcoming & supportive host who goes the extra mile to ensure your stay is perfect. Stathis provided detailed guide notes to assist our exploration of the island & also recommendations of cafes & restaurants to visit. The apartments were fastidiously clean, & the food prepared & served hygienically.

We have no family connection the the island, & stumbled across this idyllic location on Google when researching our trip. We enjoyed the relaxing, peaceful, adventurous, gourmet experience immensely. We didn't like..... leaving.

Impeccable overall experience enhanced by Stathis’ and Stella’s love for what they do. The apartment’s size is huge and the balcony looks over the sea with amazing views during the day and night. Stathis makes you feel welcome from the first minute of your stay to the last, offering advice for places to visit, places to eat and other activities you can do all over the island (truly amazing and useful information for someone who’s never been to Kythira before). As others have said, every breakfast is exceptional and homemade by Ms Stella and Stathis—5 star breakfasts and coffee. Other key positive points to our experience there were: free available parking right outside the apartment, very close to pretty blue sandy beaches, great restaurants 2’ away, everyday cleaning of the apartment, welcome and goodbye gifts. We will definitely be back!
