Stunning renovation of an old building, stylish rooms and public areas including library, TV room and lounge. Restaurant dinner was excellent. Extraordinary sense of style and design in every aspect of the renovation. Pleasant bar and seating area slightly separate from the main building. Met by charming English speaking receptionist - all the staff were very helpful. We have already booked again for our next trip.

Slightly confusing joining details - unsure whether the reception was going to be open or we had to let ourselves in using a code. Apparently this is only in the winter. Be aware that this charming hotel is very rural - there is nothing else nearby.
