"good but not amazing"

the building is super

self check in was terrible. Did not accept Portuguese ID card, did not issue key cards for both rooms, had to enter all data manually including mother’s name!! Found another hotel checkin desk with 3 staff doing nothing. what is the reason, benefit for electronic self check in? Very bad experience

Arrived at the property with booking confirmation to find the hotel closed and locked. Absolutely furious. We had to travel for a further 60 miles in dangerous road conditions at night and then spent 3 hours trying to find an alternative hotel to take us! Absolute disgrace!

Monastery building and grounds are lovely. Nice quiet area. Plenty of parking. Dog friendly.

No air con had to leave windows open and ended up covered in flies. Cleaning not as good as it should be. Bed not very comfortable and only 1 pillow. No water in the room. Terrible wifi on the whole property.
