Le 7 Camicie

Wonderful place, spectacular view, quiet and private! We had an amazing time and Lorenzo, the owner, is extremely helpful

I stayed 2 weeks in « Le 7 Camicie », I really enjoyed this site. First, the accommodation was very comfortable, spacious, well furnished. The kitchen is well equipped, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, air conditioning in every room. From the bedroom’s window, the panorama is awesome! You have in front of view beautiful landscape of Tuscany with Cypress, Vineyards, and hills… The swimming pool is large enough (about 7*14), very clean. Montalcino area is very interesting, not very crowded, and the wine is very good! So enjoy! Daniel

7 Camicie was the 4th B&B or agriturismo during our holiday in Tuscany and Umbria and it was the worst and impersonal. Despite many e-mails with the owner no welcome, no good bye, although we had announced the time of our arrival. In contrast to other accomodations for 7 camicie there was no sign post at all to find it right away. To finally find it and to get the key (under the door mat) it was necessary to call the owner, which was quite expensive with the mobile phone. There were no regular opening times of the reception. Staff was there occassionally but not announced. There was no information about the facilities as laundry etc. We have only met the owner very short, because we left him a message, that the fridge was not working well. But this problem was not solved during our stay, very annoying at temperatures over 30°C. The air conditioning was also out of order. When we wanted to start the fully loaded dishwasher the night before we left, we found out that this didn´t wortk either and we did all the work by hand. The whole appartment looked untended as there were cobwebs on the window sills and in the oven! Behind the bed in the wardrobe and elsewhere there was dust... The hotplatetes had a crust from old meals...The air circulation in the oven didn´t work. The shower hose was broken. From the neighbouring appartment every word and noise could be heard and also the kitchen smell came over to us because the connecting doors didn´t shut well. It was a really nice spot concerning the surroundings, the panoramic view and the nature, but disappointing because of all the shortcomings. After all guests pay for all the comfort and facilities which were promissed. We wonder how on Tuscany.net or Tripadvisor 7 Camicie got so many good ratings! We can not recommend it.
