Hostal Rural Las Cuatro Calles

The owner Juanfran was amazing - really friendly and helpful, showing us mountain routes not on the map we had. Super-friendly, but not in a pushy way! Location was ideal for exploring the North side of the Gredos. Great breakfast. Just what we wanted - excellent value. Supper was great too, but more hiking fuel than haute cuisine!

Nothing. Really can't think of anything that works make it better for the price.

The host was very hospitable. The stay was pleasant.

It was quite noisy because of thin walls. Breakfast was extremely simple but it seems that this is standard in this area.

Excellent on all fronts. Juan Fran was a great bird guide too.

Beds short for taller person like me.

Lovely location , super helpful Juan , with directions , local sights , best roads , and his good lady 🙂 cooks excellent food indeed , had a great stay in a fab location .. ohh and the wine with the meal was very nice ...

Everything! Firstly, the hosts have a high environmental awareness that is shown with tips and suggestions in the bedroom about how to save water/energy and how to behave while in nature. Francisco and his wife are extremely friendly and helpful, with the bonus of Francisco being a biologist and gave tips about how to see the Iberian ibex, and also bird species, and also other locations to visit in Sierra de Gredos. The meals are great; breakfast that is included is very complete and tasteful, and there is a option to dinner in the hostel, which is very convenient after a day of trekking (and also the food is delicious). The hostel is very comfortable and so are the bedrooms.
