Fantastic location, beautiful view from the balcony, there is a terrace on the roof with a breathtaking view, friendly and helpful staff with a positive attitude, very good place, I recommend it to travelers who love nature and a lot of walking, this place is the cider of Elephantine Island, I recommend it 1000%

El Prince Guesthouse est très bien placée en bordure du Nil dans l'ile très calme Elephantine. La chambre et surtout la terrasse permettent de profiter d'une très belle vue sur le Nil. Le petit déjeuner et les repas sont copieux. L'accès à Assouan est très facile par le bac public (50 pounds). Notre hôte Amgad est très agréable et disponible. Il nous a organisé une visite à Abou Simbel pour 25 euros (bac et minibus). Il peut aussi à la demande emmener sur des îles (Sehel) ou autres excursions sur le Nil avec son bateau à moteur. Nous avons particulièrement aimé la visite du monastère copte St Siméon, qui permet de faire une marche dans le désert jusqu'à la tombe des nobles au nord d'Assouan (côté occidental du Nil). C'était une semaine reposante, loin de la circulation urbaine d'Assouan.

La literie pourrait être améliorée avec de grands draps et des couvertures plus adaptées (moins chaudes).

Our entire experience at El Prince Guesthouse was great. The staff did everything they could to make our stay in Aswan easy and enjoyable. We had a river-view apartment and really enjoyed being able to relax on the balcony while taking in the Nile view from time to time. Crossing over to Elephantine Island is easy and inexpensive. Once there, you’ll find great, affordable restaurant options. The island is also home to a Nubian village where it feels safe and pleasant to walk around. Breakfast was served on the rooftop each morning, and the owner even prepared a breakfast box for us on the morning we left for Abu Simbel at 4 a.m. The apartment was fairly clean and very spacious.
