Maria, the host, was very friendly and attentive to all of my questions and concerns. In general, this is a solid hostel for the price, which is close to many of the markets and interesting parks in Ambato. Other reviews have noted that the street the hostel is on is not safe. This is not fair. It is a busy street, but it is a safe street.

There was a bit of an echo in the hostel from other rooms. However, this was only a minor issue one night.

It was near the center. I travel for an bike event, the hostel is near the park in which the agrupation was intended. The staff was nice, the room was clean.

Nice hotel with friendly and helpful owners. The location is great, close to shops, produce markets, parks and restaurants. Recommended as an affordable option near the center of Ambato.

The staff was polite and helpful and the room was clean, with HOT WATER and really close to one of the bus stations of the city. Since we stayed there only one night between buses, it was exactly what we needed. The neighbourhood is full of fast food places too if you're looking for something cheap and easy to eat.
