Rio Manilva

The checking in process was nice and simple.

Having to pay for air conditioning.

Although the room was small it had everything I needed, including coffee & tea which you don't ever find in Spain. Comfy bed & pillows & plenty of hot water for the shower.

This is not a Hotel, it is a B&B in someone's house with no signage to indicate you are at the house. I walked around for 15 minutes before phoning & the gentleman came out to meet me. Not the situation I needed after a 7hr drive. That said the owner was very nice & helpful & the house is a 1 minute walk from the beach.

The situation is lovely, right near a lovely quiet beach and near the town. The people who own the property were very friendly and welcoming, and the room was very comfortable and clean. I had to go to some meetings during my stay and it was ideal that I was given keys to come and go as I pleased. The price at the time when I stayed represented good value for money. I felt safe as a lone traveller in this property. Lovely cats!

The only small thing I would mention is the lack of a sign on the property saying Rio Manilva , this made it a bit difficult to find even with the directions and map because all the properties are the same design and I found it hard to work out which one it was. I asked for help in a nearby cafe/ restaurant and a very helpful lady was kind enough to walk the short distance with me to the property and meet the owners with me so the mystery was solved.

Difficult to fond

Close to the beach (20 m), close to Sabinillas (500m via the boardwalk/pathway called Senda Litoral). Comfortable rooms. The hosts very kindly lent some crockery & cutlery from their own kitchen, The room has a refrigerator to keep food from spoiling and a microwave to heat it. A couple of supermarkets are walking distance from the property so I was very well provisioned for the 10 days of my stay.

It was very clean.It had a kettle! It was dog friendly.It is near a good beach with many restaurants.It is only a small diversion from the main road. The owners were very helpful yet unobtrusive.Yes it is a room on a family house but that made it feel very safe and for the price we were very pleased.
