There was a clothes iron in the closet. The late check in option is pretty good, with clear instructions. Wifi is good when it works. The bed was comfortable.

We had ants everywhere, in the toilet, in the patio, in the room itself. The floor was extremely cold and the provided heater does not do much to battle that. No slippers found during our visit. The towels weren't changed *AT ALL*. We stayed for 4 nights and we had the same set of towels during our whole stay. There was mildew forming on the wall. Our WiFi abruptly stopped working around day 3. For the 4 nights that we stayed, we had hot water for only 2. You do not get a kitchen at all, couple of dishes and one pair of forks, knives and spoons. You will have to wash those in the bathroom. They had spots and did not look washed beforehand. The patio itself looks directly at a wall, giving close to none daylight with the slightest overcast. The curtains don't move at all. No coffee maker even though it was advertised that it does have it. The clothes iron was dripping water when tilted, causing our clothes to get wet. The location is terrible, even though it was advertised as a good location. At evening hours the area looked extremely unsafe, with bunch of shady persons and homeless people all around the apartment. Nearby park is their hotspot. Best to avoid this apartment and any other in the same area of the town.

Unfortunately, our stay at Casa Durand Alicante was disappointing. When we arrived, the room had an extremely strong smell of chlorine, and it was almost impossible to ventilate the space properly. Because of the noise and the location of the room, it was very difficult to sleep comfortably. In addition, the toilet was leaking constantly, and the sound of dripping water throughout the night made it hard to rest. The quality of the materials, plumbing, and overall comfort level was below expectations and definitely needs improvement.
