Cost and location

Very dated decore, air fresher in the corridor and stairway was over powering and made uou feel quite nauseous

Food is amazing

Didn't end up staying as room was dated, cold, uncomfortable and noisy. Was not worth £71 to stay in a single bed. Got a bottle of water at check in and was hounded the next day with 5 phone calls and payment links for £4.95 for the water. Kept clicking on links thinking was paid to be called again by very rude staff blowing up my phone while I was at a work conference busy as the £4.95 was top priority. Room should be around £50 max

Unable to get breakfast as had to leave at 8 for an event in Liverpool. Disappointing

The food was absolutely amazing and was a real highlight of the stay. Parking was easy during my visit in low season. I did not experience the water pressure or hot and cold shower issues mentioned in some other reviews, and the shower worked well when used early in the morning. The overall atmosphere of the inn was great, the people were friendly, and I loved the restaurant downstairs which did amazing food. I would consider staying again if the mattress issue were resolved.

The mattress was very poor and slopes heavily to one side. During the night I kept rolling toward the bedside table, banged my head, and actually fell out of bed because of how uneven it was. As I was staying away for work, the main purpose of booking a room was to get a good night’s sleep, so this significantly affected my rest. The room walls were also quite thin, although luckily the neighbouring guests were very quiet. Staff were polite, but nobody asked at checkout whether everything had been OK, which would have been a good opportunity to mention the problem. There was also an issue with the bathroom tap, where nothing came out at first and then water suddenly burst out, which was a bit of a shock the first time it happened.

The food at the Dibbinsdale Inn was great, including breakfast.

The single room was quite small.

Location for our leisure purpose. Ambient atmosphere Room was just what you need. Tea/coffee and biscuits. Bath/shower fine. Breakfast excellent.
