Rasa Sayang House - Self-check-in guesthouse

Location? Easy access = 25 minute walk into the center of town.

1. We did not receive the door access code until 30 minutes before check-in. If this is a fixed policy, it should be stated. We were beginning to panic. 2. No on-site staff, everything done online. Booked thru Booking.com, but then communication done through messages with "Rasa Sayang", which I found confusing. 3. Back entrance for parking is shabby and very tight. 4. Room itself was clean, but mold on shower curtain and ceiling. 5. Windows are single, not pair glass, so I had to wear earplugs to sleep. There's only a small room heater, no cooling, so would not be good in summer or winter. 6. No kitchen surface & sink that were shown in the photo. 7. The bathroom sink was partly blocked, probably because guests wash food leftovers there as there is nowhere else, and no tissues/kitchen roll to wipe crockery. 8. VERY expensive for low quality. We stayed in a 5-star Heathrow airport hotel for the same price, including full breakfast!

Cheap in price, however the extras for the car park and the early check in between 2 and 4pm ramped it up.

Appliances didnt work, bathroom was very grotty, no staff around if you needed assistance. Room got very hot due to fan not working, kettle and TV also didnt work.

Clean and very well equipped for a budget room. Has secure parking for £12/24 hours. Good value.

A bit run down, and no humans to speak to. All automated.

Banyoda duş alanı çok küçüktü. Tıkalıydı, su gitmiyordu. Banyoda priz yoktu. Duş perdesi yerine duşakabin olmaması büyük eksiklikti.

The location wasn’t bad although not in the centre but close enough. Found it handy having a mini fridge and some cutlery and plates in the room, although the fridge made loud noises from time to time that woke me up in the night. There was only one towel even though the booking was for two people but they responded really quickly to my message and brought us another towel within 5 minutes.

The room was not like in the pictures, it looked worse, I went through all the pictures and didn’t find that room in there, felt disappointed when I saw it. The shower curtain needs to be changed, the drain was blocked, it was extremely hot in the room even though no heating was on and weather wasn’t that hot. The worst part however was that the floor was very noticeably uneven so much so that we had to sleep with our heads at the foot of the bed as the incline made it uncomfortable otherwise.
