Glencruitten House

The Hotel was beautiful. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable about the area and history of the property. The Hotel far exceeded the photos. Our room was beautiful, breakfast was delicious and the location to town and Oban the Distillery was great.

One of my favorite places I have ever stayed at. Everything at this property is just perfect and the owners are lovely and make you feel at home. I will definitely be going back!

There is nothing that was not amazing. 1. The house itself is of historic interest and has been renovated and modernised with consdiration and care; providing the feel of being taken back in time, while still having modern conveniences available to you. 2. The villas (where I stayed, after an upgrade) are idyllic; each is privately positioned, with beautiful decoration, spacious room, log fire, beautiful bathtubs, showers, hot tub outside along with a sauna. 3. The restaurant in the hotel was fantastic; we dined for the NYE celebration and the food was exceptional. 4. The grounds are exceptionally well kept, and while there is expansion work ongoing (new villas) - everything is very tidy. 5. THE STAFF. Sayward runs the show, and she is absolutely fantastic - she went above and beyond in making our stay fantastic. The rest of the team were brilliant; courteous, responsive and fun to talk with. The team made the the stay feel so much more intimate because of their attention and attitude.

Glencruitten House is a beautifully restored mansion, hidden in the hills above Oban, benefitting from dramatic and elevated views across the waters to the Isle of Mull, way off in the distance - a site to behold from the wonderful balcony deck! Everything about Glencruitten House is enchanting and is a definite must for the discerning traveller. My wife and I were warmly welcomed at the door on arrival and were shown around the property and our room. The building and attention to detail in the decoration and furnishings is exquisite and our bedroom and bed were very comfortable and generously proportioned! Everything here is old school large, whilst oozing charm and character. The breakfast room is like something out of a fairytale and the food and service was to the highest standard. If you are looking to treat yourself to a truly individual night or two away, then stay here - you won’t be disappointed!
