Glencruitten House

Great service! Wonderful, warm welcome. Beautiful grounds. I enjoyed the alpacas, peacocks, and chickens. The house itself is beautiful! Comfortable rooms, beautiful bathrooms. Definitely recommend.

I wish there was more access to the library bar and ice. I wish there were snacks available for purchase. I wish there were outlets in the bathroom. None of these were showstoppers.

The property was absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated.

Room: We booked the "Family Room with Mountain View", which is actually two GIANT king bedrooms connected by a small private hallway and a shared bath. We were astounded to see that we had two completely separate bedrooms at our disposal! They were both gorgeous, it was hard to decide which one to use for luggage and which one to sleep in! My husband and I are still wondering if there is a standard bed size that is larger than a king. We sleep in king beds at home but the bed in our room seemed wider and longer than a normal king bed. Both rooms have electric heaters that look like wood burning stoves. It was a very nice touch for added ambience. Property: Unbelievable location, absolutely stunning. I sort of regretting having to leave the property each day to go explore Oban and the surrounding areas, it was just such a wonderful place to be! We enjoyed walking in the grounds, visiting the chickens and peacocks, and strolling in the garden. The library of this gorgeous property is unforgettable. Breakfast: The food was great both days of our stay. Service was impeccable! Staff: We felt absolutely welcomed the minute we came to the property. Everyone we encountered was extremely helpful, professional, and very friendly. The last day, I had the pleasure of meeting the owner and he was equally warm and welcoming.

There was not one single thing we did not like/love about this property. Only booking two nights here is truly my biggest regret. If you are on the fence about where to stay in Oban (and you have a rent car), don't hesitate to book Glencruitten!

This place is incredible! Gorgeous estate and house, unique things like felted artwork on the walls, old books everywhere, and very interesting wallpaper in the bathrooms. Our room had a theme and a small courtyard, and the 5 course dinner was the coolest thing ever. The dining rooms are themed and so is the dinner! I can not recommend this place enough!

The only thing I didn't like was the bed itself, I didn't get a good night sleep because of the hard mattress, but I'm sure many people would like it.

Es war eine einzigartige Erfahrung. Es ist als würde man in eine andere Welt eintauchen. Das Personal ist äusserst freundlich. Das Essen ist sehr gut und die Zimmer luxuriös und gross. Mein persönliches Highlight ist aber die whiskylibary. Auf jeden Fall ein Besuch wert!

Did not match the value of what I paid for. Some rooms seemed run down with peeling wallpapers. There was a musty smell coming from a bathroom on the 2nd floor which we had to pass by every time we needed to get to our room. Overall has an old antique vibe in need of a renovation

Beautiful house, garden and experience for those who love something ornate. The animals are a nice touch. The rooms felt very individual. The breakfast was a lovely expereince.

Feels like they are getting started - it's a lovely place, but are ironing out some kinks. I'm sure it will get there. For instance the fire alarm went off very early in the AM, and the one person there ( who was new ) didn't know how to turn it off.
