Braeside Guest Rooms

Location is great. Portree is not a big town, so everything is in a 3-minute walk radius. The room was excellent (the most comfortable we had in our trip through Scotland). You can feel there's great care and thoughtfulness that comes into hosting guests. The bed was comfortable and big enough for me and my friend to share. Very quiet place. There's a fan in the bedroom. The host kindly made a UK plug available for us (which we didn't use, but it was a nice gesture). Beds were made everyday while we were out exploring Isle of Skye. In the room, there was also surprisingly useful material about the Isle, where the host suggests restaurants, and where I found this fantastic app called Walkhighlands, with trail routes that can be downloaded and accessed offline.

The only thing was that my friend had trouble connecting to wifi from our room (which I curiously had not), but it worked downstairs.

Lovely quiet room in the middle of Portree. Easy to come around from the guesthouse. Feels like living in "old Portree".

Great location, lovely rooms, Ruth is very nice and helpful owner.
