The Pear Tree

The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was excellent.

We chose the hotel for its location and on the basis of claimed A/C and parking. The room under the roof had no air-condotioning only a fan. With 30°C that‘s annoying. The hotel has NO parking. So you need to find a spot in the city yourself - which is costly. The bathroom ventilation didn‘t work and the ceiling and show had mold. We had 2 rooms, one had no towels.

There was no breakfast, I liked the character of the building and the location was perfect.

It was very loud there 12am-2am which wasn’t good as it kept me and my partner awake,loud music and lots of people shouting and banging.The second night I had barely any sleep,

The bed was incredibly comfortable. Yhe staff were very polite and kind. The towels were very soft and warm

The water pressure in the shower was very weak and the water was either way too hot or way too cold.

Everything was really great the staff who all are so good

The location was close to relatives. Quiet area and the room was a good size and comfortable. Nice shower room with included lotions etc.

Although we were permitted to drop our bags just before 2pm the room wasn’t ready and the bed was unmade. When we returned later in the evening it had been made up ok however we noticed that there was a few bits of grit on the carpet and what looked like a bit of plastic and some leaves under the bed so didn’t appear to have been vacuumed.

Great location for a Hook Norton Brewery tour! Also great walks for the Dog around the area.
