Ben Cruachan Guest House

Lovely helpful owner took the time to chat. Excellent well appointed rear room with a king sized bed, quiet away from the front and across the road from tram stops, use of spotless spacious kitchen to prepare light meals and access to rear garden. Had a great stay compared to a soulless hotel. Thank you very much, Ben Cruachan.

Consigliatissimo! In una via tranquilla e senza traffico, vicinissimo alla fermata del tram che porta quasi ovunque compreso aeroporto, e a 20 minuti dal centro. Gestore disponibile e cordiale. C'è a disposizione una cucina comune molto attrezzata dove si possono preparare pranzi e cene. La colazione è ottima e si può scegliere in autonomia tra diverse cose.

Access to the community kitchen, lounge area and back garden made the stay very comfortable. Location was within walking distance to the train station and many attractions. Nicely decorated throughout.

Our room was pleasant enough, but not very spacious.

The location was good - an easy walk to the city centre and to the Botanic Gardens. Loved the lounge as a chill out room, and the kitchen facilities.

Location was just right for getting to city centre, and plenty of breakfast cafe places on Leith Walk as well as Tesco within 100m. However, we were very pleasantly surprised to find that simple breakfast and tea & coffee was available at the Guest House as well as other local treats to try. Excellent. The cosy lounge was also very welcome and the place felt nice and warm on cold, rainy weekend. The whole place was immaculately clean and tidy. The access arrangements were very convenient and well explained before arrive, being able to return at any time of day was very convenient

Only two minor aspects in rm 5 we stayed in. The bathroom door is stiff to slide closed. The bed mattress is very comfortable, but a bit sunken on the window side.
