Out of town location, poorly maintained. Not made clear that bath / toilet was not attached and had to walk across open landing. Toilet shower in poor state and very cramped

One of the rooms had a smell to it. The owner contacted us to say there had been an error on their end, and one of the family rooms we had booked was now not available this was 2 days before our arrival. STILL NO REFUND.

The Available kitchen appliances makes quite homely

I had trouble figuring out the shower - but that might have just been me - the owner was very helpful with explaining how it worked.

The owner pulled my reservation on the day of arrival at 09.30 , extremely poor customer service . My reservation was made weeks before and they cancelled with hours to spare before i was due to depart .

Ideal location for the purpose of our stay

Bed and pillows (spare pillows full of stains) smelt like they hadn’t been washed and uncomfortable mattress. Room smelt unpleasant on arrival like someone had been in there sleeping. Cupboard full of stains and smelly. Our private bathroom was used by others, shower was used and loo roll was used up…we really didn’t like this and barely could fit on the toilet it was very cramped. Woken up early to loud guests and you can hear everything through to next door’s conversations. Had to buy our own sheets and pillows. Window was cracked and the front door had a dodgy lock, so it took us 10 minutes to get in.

It was a roof over our heads.

The room was small. It had a double bed, wardrobe, desk, and a sofa bed all set up. It was cramped for 2 of us. The bathroom was even smaller. You could almost have a shower on the toilet. You had to lean into the shower cubical to switch the light on or off. When on, it was on a sensor and kept coming on even when the door was closed. The kitchen was not the cleanest, and other tenants left their washing up in the sink. Bed was uncomfortable, and so were the pillows, flat and lifeless.

The location was perfect. The room was basic but clean.

The mattress was painful to say the least and we both have back pain this morning. There was a lot of noise in the night culminating with a full blown shouting match between a resident and a member of staff. Dreadful
