Taldraeth - Old Vicarage Guest House

Friendly reception in a beautiful house filled with welsh antiques. The host Mirain is a prizewinning cook and the breakfast was exceptional. Home grown walnuts, lavabread ,cockles a cheese and mushroom souflee omlette - such a delight! The best bath with a view ever. The location is perfect to explore the magnificent scenery of North Wales.

The weekend when we were there was very cold outside and the rooms were cool as it was a big house.

Food was exceptional and sufficient with adequate amount, varied menus. Served on time. Hot.

Bedroom was nice and comfortable equipped with what we would expect for the price shower was powerful bathroom had all the amenities eg luxury shower gels shampoos and conditioner. fluffy robes breakfast was nice. Nothing was too much trouble. The train station is just 5 mins walk. For ppl who rnt fussy as me i would recommend this b&b the owner was nice and nothing too much trouble

The only thing I found was it was very dusty.the hall way needed TLC.the furniture was dusty needed a hoover on the carpets..I didn't find at first glance the outside approaching the b&b didn't have curb appeal. It looks different to the official pictures..the area is busy close to the roads only one spar shop no chip shops. We travelled to next town Porthmadog for eating out but personally we wouldn't visit there again as there are no shops and one pub.

Loads of character to this property lovely sized room, great hosts, parking easy, great location and the breakfast was excellent ( I think I has scambled eggs and smoked salmon) restaurant level 10/10
