Anglebury House

The room was fabulous for a family of 4. Great location.

No parking. Breakfast was slow service . Very traditional and no pancakes/fruit/yogurts for kids.

Beautiful house with a history. Really good breakfast. Amazing kind staff. Check out the Goat coffeshop nearby.

There was a weird sound at night likely coming from the walls (sometimes they do weird sounds when temperature changes), only a problem if you’re a light sleeper

The house and the rooms are very comfy and cosy, amenities in the rooms are good such as small snacks and additional blankets. Shower good and bess are comfortable. Breakfast has many choices and the price honest

The location was good. The property was very old and had the potential to have a lot of character. The breakfast was good. The staff were generally friendly and helpful. The shower was good with a good sized shower tray. Plenty of tea and milk supplied and was kept well topped up.

Parking could be a problem if many of the rooms were full. Our reception on arrival was rather perfunctory. Front of house staff needed to be a bit smarter e.g. without holes in leggings, dirty creased tee shirt. There was nowhere to hang damp towels in the room so hard to get them dry. The bed wasn’t very substantial and swayed about every time my husband turned over. We had our meal there one evening and it was very poor. Would be better to have a much smaller menu of good quality freshly cooked food. Felt like the hotel was trying to be lots of different things and not quite managing any of them.
