"Owner was lovely! Breakfast was great. Nice stay, just think it could do with updating but we would use again."

The property was very charming.the owner was a lovely lady.

Could do with updating. I wasn’t very keen on having to use the toilet and shower across the hallway. The shower was also very dated.

Quaint and quirky. Lady who owns hotel is lovely and went out her way to make me feel welcome. Breakfast was set up with real fire on. Selection of continental and cooked breakfast. Fresh fruit and coffee.

If you only like brand new sterile hotels then this one’s not for you

"I regularly visit Helensburgh for family reasons and this is the best place I've stayed."

It was very quiet and relaxed. I slept incredibly well because of the quietness, even though it was windy outside. The breakfast was very good and plentiful. I asked for vegetarian, preferably vegan and the host catered for me with vegan sausages, mushrooms and beans. There was also a lovely fire to eat in front of.

The bathroom wasn't en-suite but this wasn't an issue for me.
