Maypole Farm, Cawood

The owner was lovely and greeted us with a warm welcome. The beds were comfy and the room had everything we needed. The ensuite was a good size, had a decent shower and was clean. A group of 3 adults checked in around 9pm in the rooms above and adjacent to ours. They proceeded to argue rather loudly and were audibly distressed. To our relief the owners politely reminded the group that there were other guests in the property and advised them they would be asked to leave if they didn't reduce the noise. The owners seemed very concerned about all guests and were very apologetic to us the following morning. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Soundproofing between the rooms could perhaps have been better, but to be fair the noise that disturbed us was coming from drunk guests so under normal circumstances may not have been an issue.

The room and bathroom had excellent cleanliness. And secure gated parking. The communal kitchen is a really nice space, modern but cosy. Friendly hosts

Had a little problem with the heating system in the room but was quickly sorted out

Me senti em casa, limpeza, espaço lugar. Pub na frente super legal. Recomendo tudo.

Ruime kamer. Fijn ontbijt, bestaat uit toast en jam, oploskoffie thee orangejuice, verschillend vers fruit en cereals en melk. De pub aan de overkant van de straat is een aanrader. Geen haute cuisine, wel simpel en gezellig. York is vlakbij, iets van 25 minuten naar Askham Bar Park & Ride.

Kamer was 's avonds vrij warm in december (21 graden), maarja een ander vindt dat wellicht wel weer fijn. Wij hebben het raam maar goed opengezet:-)

Location was in a quiet road, easy to locate and off the main road. i liked that it was gated so my car was within its compound. Maggie was really lovely and welcoming. There was a shared kitchen where breakfast was toast, jam, cereal. tea, coffee with milk and fruit juice. If you wanted to buy your own you could store in fridge also used by other guests. Bedroom was spacious, nicely decorated and bathroom was a good size as well. Fantastic shower and good heating. Bed was very comfortable and we had a good sleep. Would definitely stay over next time in York, its a real gem.
